Bajdinški waterfalls

The gorge of the Bajdinški potok is located 24 km south of Ljubljana, only one kilometer away from Turjak Castle. All four waterfalls are extremely picturesque. These are tufa waterfalls, which means they are actively "growing" as minerals deposit from the water.

Access

The trail through the 500m gorge is somewhat difficult and not recommended for a casual "family hike." However, the lower (first) waterfall is easily accessible from the houses below Turjak Castle.

A signpost points towards the old Roman road and the falls. It is approximately a 30-minute walk. The upper waterfalls can be reached from the settlement by a track starting from the Ljubljana-Turjak main road (approx. 10 min walk).
