Log pod Mangrtom (640 m) is situated on the bottom of glacier shaped Valley of river Koritnica. The settlement is encircled with the high mountains where dominates the ridge of Loška stena. This settlement is among the most picturesque settlements of Alpine settlements in Slovenia. From the valley of Koritnica is the connection with the Predel mountain pass.
