Church of the Virgin of the Snows stands on a rocky rise above the village of Solčava. The original church was built at the beginning of the 13th century, while the present Gothic sanctuary was erected in the second half of the 15th century. Inside the church presides a renowned late-Romanesque stone statue of the Virgin Mary with Child dating from the 13th century (with later decorative artistry by A. Lerchinger).
Directly beside the church stands the historic chapel of St. Anne (dating back to 1610).
