"Jezersko" means "place with the lake". This mountain basin was formed by the glacier between Karavanke and Kamnik Alps. When glacier melted after the last Ice Age there was a large lake which remained till the end of 14th century. There are only fields and grassland nowadays. This place is a fine starting point to mountains. Here is a healthy Alpine climate. |
