Ravnik at Hotedršica (elevation ~ 650 m) is a dispersed settlement situated in the southwestern area of the Rovte Hills (Rovtarsko hribovje), just east of Hotedršica. The region is characterized by its rugged karst terrain, combining lush forests and high-altitude pastures.
The settlement is historically significant for its timber industry and livestock farming. A prominent cultural landmark is the former camp church of St. Barbara, which stands on a hill and once served as a refuge during Ottoman incursions. The village also preserves several old farmsteads, most notably the heritage-protected Istenič homestead.
Its location on the border between the Inner Carniola and Littoral regions offers magnificent views of the surrounding hills, making it a peaceful destination for hikers and heritage enthusiasts.
