Solčava

Solčava is the last settlement in the Upper Savinja valley. It is a starting point to the mountains and beautiful shaped valleys as Logarska dolina or Matkov kot are. The most famous is Logarska dolina which was proclaimed as the second nature park in Slovenia. Olseva mountain (1929 m) is famous by the Potocka zijalka cave (situated at the altitude 1100% m, it is 110 long and up to 40 m wide), where Srecko Brodar leads excavations in 1928. The cave was used as a hunter's station in the Stone Age, about 20.000 years ago.
