SLOVENSKO

Kranjska Gora is a great touristic destination. It is a famous and popular SKI centre in winter. High peaks are a challenge for mountaineers. Road to the Vršič pass and bike routes are a pleasent idea for vacations. There is one of the entries to the Triglav national park. There are also many waterfalls nearby - particularly in Julian Alps. On the opposite side of Julian Alps are Karavanke Alps. Only few kilometres away from Kranjska Gora is the highest waterfall in Karavanke Alps. It is "connected" from seven smaller waterfalls (stages) connected in "big" one with the height of 100 m. It is not a touristic attraction, but hike there is something special. Path to the waterfall is not marked and is not easily accessed (alpine boots are recomended), but a fine hiking route from Kranjska Gora to gozd Martuljek leads nearby. It is marked with No.5. There is an unique view to the Julian Alps.
