Church of the St. Helene, according to locals is the successor of the former chapel of the castle in Gradišče. Church is dated to the 15th century. Church is particularly interesting because of frescoes in the nave, which were discovered in the fifties and restored in the sixties of the 20th century. On the north wall we can admire the mural, which shows the arrival and tribute St. Magi, a fresco on the south side shows Christ's Passion. The frescoes are the art work of late gothic painter “John from Kastav, who was also the author of the famous frescoes “Deathlike ball” in Hrastovlje church.
