The Green Ring - Path of Remembrance and Comradeship is the ~34- kilometre footpath, which runs along the course of the barb wire which surrounded Ljubljana during World War II (from 1942 to 1945), to prevent contacts between the town and its hinterland. Nowadays it is a well-maintained gravel-paved recreational footpath running around the entire Ljubljana.
