Saignon village is perched at the top of a hill below a large and picturesque rock which dominates the valley. The location of the village is only 3 kilometres south-east from Apt. In the centre of the village is ancient fountain which is situated on the picturesque square encircled with old houses with intricate doorways. The architectural sight is Roman church Notre Dame de Pitié.
